Weight Watcher's

Starting back at Weight Watcher's

Me ready to go to work at Weight Watcher's tonight!

Cole took this picture as he said I needed an update picture of myself for my book. I have a "before and after" book that has my pictures in it. The after pics I have in it right now are me from 2007. So yes, he is right I do need to update it LOL!

For those of you who don't know this, I worked for Weight Watcher's for about 8 months after I had lost 125 pounds with them. I was pregnant with Brynely when I had to quit as I was having gall bladder attacks (not fun, very painful). They have been calling me asking me to come back to work for them...so I have decided to do it.

This me before I lost all (130 pounds) the weight...

It is hard to look at the old me...I can still feel how unhappy I was with myself. I debated whether or not to put my "fat pictures" on here as I don't like to see them myself...BUT, I have learned so much and each day is a new day. I am proud of myself for keeping the weight off. It is a daily battle for me...but a necessary one to keep things in prespective. Darn food...I enjoy it wayyyy to much!!

Advice that has changed me...
When I had lost 113 pounds and was still trying to lose about 12 more pounds, I recieved thee nicest email from Kent's Uncle Wayne (his Mom's brother) who at the time I really didn't know. We had been emailing back and forth and keeping in touch since we had met them back in 2005. They live in Ontario and I had only met him once...I hope he doesn't mind me posting what he said to me...but it had a BIG impact on me...this is what he said about my weight loss...

"Congratulations on your weight loss, I am glad you are happy with your accomplishment because the weight loss doesn't determine the person. You are a great person irrelevant of any weight and I want you to always remember that."

Uncle Wayne and Aunt Tanya Good

After I had read what he said it was like a light bulb went off in me...as I knew what he was saying was true. I was letting my weight over run me and who "I thought I was" and what I thought people only saw...which was my weight. I cried and cried as I was so touched by his thoughtful words. I then realized he was right that I am so much more than "my weight."

Thank you Uncle Wayne for your kind words back in August 28, 2007!
They have changed how I precieve myself and look at myself =) Every now and again I re-read his email to remind myself when I get to caught up in my weight issues and when I feel consumed...it helps me re-focus!

My weight is not ME...I am still ME whether I am big or not...does that make sense?

I work every Wednesday evening in Airdrie. It was SO good to walk in those doors tonight and see the leader that taught me each week. It truly felt like I was home! She is such a positive person and I really need to get a picture of her and I together as she has been a big part of my success as well. They were so welcoming and made it so easy to be back there. Being a support person to people who are losing weight is such a GREAT opportunity for me...love being there for people!

Thanks to my wonderful husband for allowing me to be able to do this every week. It is a big adjustment, but we are making it happen as it is important for me to be there.

Silly boy!

I told Tyson to go get dressed Saturday morning and this is what he came upstairs wearing *sigh*. As a Mom EVERY morning I have to go through a list of things with my boys to make sure they have done it and check them both over...or they would wear the same clothes everday I swear!

2 words...Ohhh MYYYYY!!!!

This kid has NO CLUE when it comes to clothes and what goes and what doesn't ha ha! I wanted to capture his taste in clothing so I told him to pose for a picture and these are the poses he did...hmmm...his Dad was not happy about the 2nd pose LOL...I on the other hand laughed and laughed! He is such a goof =)

Morning check list I have to say with the boys to make sure they have done things:

Did you brush your teeth?

Did you shower?

Do you have deoderant on?

Clean clothes and socks?

Did you do your reading?

Is your lunch ready?

Do you have your homework and agendas?

ETC....

You would think that after years of asking the SAME questions that they would just do it already without having to be reminded...but NOOOOO!! I have to go through this run down of questions EVERY morning before school...I kid you not! And most times they don't have them all done and they they whine and complain...ugh!$%# And all I say is, "really? As if you don't know what I am going to ask you...so just do it and get it done!"

Monday, May 10
Today I needed to get out of the house and do a couple of things. Kent ended up meeting Brynley and I at Market Mall in N.W. Calgary and we went to Moxie's for lunch. Before Kent arrived Brynley played in the kids play area that is located in the middle of the mall and climbed and slid on everything she possibly could...she was one happy girl! Brynley was VERY excited to see her Daddy walking towards her in the mall! Lunch was really good.

Monday evening Jeff (Kent's brother), Kent, Cole, Tyson and I all went to see the movie Iron Man 2 in Airdrie. We got our babysitter Shaylin to watch Brynley. Bryn was happy to see Shay and so it of course always makes it easier to leave Bryn when you know she is happy to see the babysitter =)

The movie was good...lot's of action. The kids enjoyed it!

To be honest I sooooo enjoy movie theatre popcorn and having a big pop as well. Sometimes I even put glossette chocolate raisins in with my popcorn and eat it all together...YUMMMMM!! My sister Becky taught me that trick. The sweet and the salty together is great =) Mind you, I also have to have the Salt and Vinegar flavoring on my popcorn as well...DELICIOUS!! Seeing a movie is a bonus, but as long as I have my popcorn and pop I am one happy girl...sad, but true! LOL

Time for a bigger bed
Last night I put Brynley in her crib to let her cry herself to sleep as I had had it with her. I had been fighting her for over an hour in our room to get her to go to sleep and she was just too wired and she wouldn't settle down. She was hysterical when I put her in her crib and walked away. But I needed to do it as I had had enough. I let her cry for about 10 minutes and I went back in there...layed her down, gave her her blanket and soother and walked back out. She was gripping onto me so tight...I felt bad! I went into our computer room to wait for her to go to sleep...another 10 minutes passed and she was still going strong...stubborn little thing isn't she LOL! As I am sitting in the computer room all of a sudden I hear banging at Brynley's door...it is Brynley...she had climbed out of her crib!!!! HOLY CRAP...it shocked me so bad! There wasn't even a thud sound when she climbed out so she did it very carefully even ha ha ha! I opened the door and she was just sweating...poor thing. She wasn't going to let go...so needless to say we need to get her out of her crib and into a bigger bed now that she can do that...good grief!!

Mother's Day!

Breakfast buffet
(Saturday, May 8 2010)

We decided to go for breakfast Saturday morning in Olds as an early start to our Mother's Day celebration. It has a really yummy breakfast buffet at the Smitty's there that we found one summer. We called Kent's Mom and invited her to meet us there and Kent's brother Jeff and his family met us there as well.

Me and my girl!

I had Kent take a picture of Bryn and I as we were sitting together at our table. She was so excited and happy to be there. It was a great breakfast and a wonderful start to Mother's Day! The food was delicious...we ate so much I felt like I needed to be rolled out of there LOL!!

Everyone eating breakfast

Kent, Tyson, Jeff and 2 of his kids went from there with Deb up to Red Deer for the day. Deb needed there help as Kent had sold her motor home for her and the guy was meeting them up there to get it. Brynley, Cole and I went into Airdrie and did some grocery shopping and what not and then we went home and relaxed.

We invited Deb to stay the night so she could be with us all for Mother's Day and go to church with us. Plus we were going to be going over to Niki's for Mother's Day dinner later on Sunday. Once they got back from Red Deer we decided us girls (Deb, Melanie, Niki and I) would go out for dinner and a movie. We had a good time and I am glad we did it =)

When I came home from the movie Saturday evening the house had been cleaned up and there was a present on the table. It was from the kids. There were 2 cards and a couple of box's of Toffifee chocolates (love those)!

Once I was done reading the kids cards I opened up a card from Kent. And he led me to the garage where my present was from him...he bought me a really nice screen door to put on our back door. I have been waiting a while for this, so I was very excited to get it FINALLY!! Now, to have him install it as the weather is supposed to be really nice this week =) I was SO pleasantly surprised by all of this...Saturday was a good day!

Mother's Day 2010

Deb stayed the night and came to church with us. It was nice to have her there...the kids thought it was great!

My wonderful family

Being a Mom to these 3 great kids is the greatest gift I have been given! I am incrediably thankful to have them in my life. They can bring out the absolute best in me...and sometimes the absolute worst ha ha....BUT, either way they challenge me to be a good person and to try harder to be a better person every day. Sometimes I really believe they are teaching me more than I am teaching them!

My 3 wonderful kids and I!

Sunday around 4 p.m. we headed over to Niki's home for Mother's Day dinner. We made and brought the ham and a pretzel salad. Everyone was assigned something to bring. There was LOT'S of yummy food! It was a delicious dinner. Everyone was there except for Sheri and her family and Mike and his family. I tell ya, it was sure nice having the family dinner over at Niki's instead of at our place LOL...Happy Mother's Day to me!! (ha ha)

Deb called her Mom and we all got to talk to her briefly. She lives in Ontario so we don't get to see her that often. But we keep in touch with them and the kids know them and that is one of the many things that is important to us...is that they know who there family is!

Once we got home I called my Mom in Arizona to say goodnight and to tell her Happy Mother's Day. We actually had a good talk Saturday evening. But I still wanted to say Happy Mother's Day to her and tell her I love her! All in all it was a good day I have to say.

Being a Mom is one of the toughest, but most important jobs in the world! I am thankful to be apart of the Mom club...wouldn't want it any other way =)

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

I have A LOT of AMAZING women in my life whom I look up to and they are all Mother's. They have all played a special part in my life..some may know it and others may not. From my own Mom to my step Mom Linda (who really isn't my step mom anymore) but has always been so good to me...to all my many sisters, my Mother in law, my sister in laws, my Grandma's, my Aunts, cousins and friends! To all of you (and there are MANY) I thank you for being such good examples of Mother's to me!

I told my own Mom how she has set the "Motherhood bar" very high and it is hard to follow in her foot steps...she has made it a challenge, but a good one! She is in Arizona right now enjoying her vacation with my Dad. She is the one I look up to and try to be like as a Mother. She has been the best example! I appreciate and love her more than she will ever know. Have a WONDERFUL day Mom!

My Grandma (my Mom's Mom), my Mom and Brynley

My goal for next year's Mother's Day is to have some good photos of her and I together on here as I don't have one. Plus I would like to get some of her and my kids all together as well. So I will have to do that A.S.A.P. since they are leaving on their mission in the Fall.

But to each of you whom read this and you are a Mother...HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

Stitches and More!

Exacto knife accident
(Wednesday, May 5 2010)

When Cole had come home from school on Wednesday he was excited to work on his Science project (some type of space station). He got all set up on the dining room table. He even asked Tyson if he wanted to help him (which was shocking to me ha ha)! Cole was in a great mood and Ty was THRILLED his brother wanted him to help him. Cole had asked me where an exacto knife was so he could cut a cardboard box I told him where it was and not once did it enter my mind to tell him to be careful (nice Mom eh!?)

I was in our bedroom hanging out with Brynley and Tyson happened to come in and relax with us as well. All of a sudden I heard Cole call my name in a funny way and he came running into my room. He had the most panicked look on his face as he was holding his hand in his mouth with his other hand and there was blood oozing out of his mouth . I was SHOCKED and terrified to see how badly he had cut himself but I knew I had to look. There was a BIG gash right below his thumb knuckle...there was A LOT of blood and I couldn't believe what I was seeing (all this meaty flesh). I grabbed a towel and told Cole to put lot's of pressure on it and told him it was going to be ok. My heart was racing as I called my sister in law Melanie to see if I could Drop of Ty and Bryn and she said yes so we all jumped in the van.

I took this picture with my cell phone after the Dr had cleaned it up...so it is blurry and not so good.

Ok, so yes this is pretty graphic actually showing his cut...BUT...it doesn't even show how nasty it really looked...in the picture it actually doesn't look so bad...but it was NASTY!!!

Cole hanging out in one of the Urgent Care rooms waiting for the Dr to come.

They bandaged it up while when we first got there. I kept asking Cole if he was light headed or if it hurt at all and he kept saying "No."

When the Dr finally arrived (after an hour and a little bit) she took one look at it and told him it was " a good one" and that "he is very lucky he didn't cut his tendon as it is very close to it" (PHEEEEEEEW....and thank you very much is what I have to say to hearing that!)

5 stitches in total

Cole was nervous about having to get a shot in and around his wound to freeze it so the Dr could stitch it up. But in the end he said he couldn't even feel it. He didn't like looking at his cut before it was stitched up...neither did I to be honest LOL! It took 5 stitches to sew up his thumb. Cole said he was excited to show his friends and tell them what happened...typical boy! He has to have the stitches in for 10 days and then get them taken out...and of course he can't get it wet either. He is one tough kid!

Cole's science project he had been working on...didn't get to finish it.

Trampoline Fun!

Here is Cole with his 2 buddies (Chris and Nathan) and Tyson bouncing on the trampoline with Brynley in our back yard. The boys are so good to her...as any time they are out there and she knows it she is screaming to be out there with them. The kids are kind enough to play with her and she LOVES it! In the one picture she looks like she is crying and scared LOL...but she wasn't she was giggling the whole time. She loves her boys =)

Backyard fun at Melanie and Jeff's

Tyson so good with all the little kids...he loves little kids! He was out there putting Bryn on the slide for the first time and she was one happy girl. She thought it was great and did it over and over. She climbed up the ladder all by herself and she was so proud of herself. I was very nervous watching her do this =)

Tyson, Brynley and Logan on the swing set

Tyson took Bryn on the swing as well. She was so excited and she just kept saying "weeeeeeee!"

Avery (14 months old) and Tyson

Avery is Jeff and Melanie's youngest. She is they tinniest little girl...so dang cute! Tyson had fun with her on the slide as well.

Avery is almost completely walking without falling. She started off by walking on her knees (so funny) and then she stood up and walked to Tyson and gave him a big hug! It was the sweetest thing and I don't know who was more excited...Tyson or Avery!

Cereal Queen...

Bryn enjoying cereal...poor girl, where is her mother...she looks hilarious!!

The other day I was in my room tidying up and I could hear Brynley getting into something and then saying, "mmmmm!" I came out to see what she was into and this is what I found ha ha! She had grabbed a box of cereal out of the pantry and she was quite enjoying herself.

Tyson and his new hair do!

I took the boys to this place in Crossfield to get their hair cut. Tyson wanted a "fo-hawk" (don't know if that is how you spelt it but oh well LOL). When she was done cutting it she asked him if he wanted colored gel put in his hair. He looked at me all excited and said, "PLEEEEEASE MOM?!" I didn't care so this is what we ended up with ha ha! He of course picked out a hot pink color...I laughed and said, "oh your Dad will love this!"

Tyson posing for me ha ha ha...he is such a nerd...LOVE him!!!

Crossfield weather
(April 28)

Our house after only 2 hours of it snowing
So we have had 2...that's right 2 STORM WARNINGS in April within a week of each other...what the?! It has been depressing all this snow...bring on Spring anytime! The kids actually got a snow day on the first storm as we were socked in pretty badly.

This is looking out our back door...our deck has huge drifts on it and you can see that the snow is almost up the the trampoline. The wind was crazy and of course made things MUCh worse! We have lost A LOT of shingles in the past week because of the wind and how powerful it has been. There are trees rooted up all over town even. Let's hope this is the LAST snow storm until the winter!!!

Very behind

Man I am waaayyy behind in my blogging. Lot's has been going on so I will try to catch up on it all...

Utah purchase

Brynley checking out her picnic table

So we bought this little picnic table that folds away nicely and has an umbrella if needed to use for when we have company over (inside or outside). There is always a lot of little kids so we thought this would come in handy. Cole and Tyson put it together for Brynley and she was THRILLED! She even had fun looking at the pictures on the box as there were little kids on it that she kept talking to and waving at LOL!

Brynley a.k.a Medusa

Brynley's CRAZY bed head hair!

Ok, so we call Brynley "Medusa" in the mornings...her hair is all over the place and the craziest thing I have ever seen LOL! As you can see by the pictures it is out of control HUGE!! The next few pictures her hair is crazy looking...just know, I do do her hair most days...but if we aren't going anywhere this is how she usually looks...poor thing =)

The "big mess"...and I am not even talking about her hair HA HA!

Brynley was eating her breakfast in the kitchen at her new table when she decided to take her yogurt into the computer room. She dumped it on the carpet and started using it like finger paint and brushing it into the carpet with our tooth brushes. UGH! I wasn't happy, but I figured it was done so go get the camera and capture the moment as she knew she had done something wrong and she kept saying "Oh-No!" You can see by the look on her face she was busted ha ha!

Melanie surprise 30th Birthday party
(Sunday, April 18 2010)

My sister in law Melanie
(married to Kent's brother Jeff)

We decided to give Melanie a "surprise" 30th Birthday Party as we knew she would NEVER be expecting it. Especially since the actual day of her birthday kindof came and went. I knew she wasn't too happy about turning the big 3-0 so we thought it would be nice to do this for her and hopefully put a smile on her face...as you can see it worked =)

Everyone was there (from the Stanford side of the family...except for Deb as she was in Ontario) and it was quite the ordeal to keep this quiet from her all weekend since Kent's brother Mike and his family had come up for it from Lethbridge. We told Melanie lie after lie to keep it all under wraps and much to all of our surprise she said she really had NO CLUE! When she walked in our house (her thinking her and her family were just coming over for a Sunday BBQ) we were all there and yelled "SURPRISE"...poor Melanie jumped as we scared her so badly LOL! The house was all decorated with signs and balloons. Niki made Melanie her birthday cake and it was so yummy and so nice looking...good job Niki!

Thanks again to everyone for coming and pulling this all off! A BIG thank you to Jeff and Mike for all the help on the fence and around our yard on Saturday. We accomplished a lot thanks to them!

Lucas and Brynley
(cousins)

Lucas and Brynley playing our piano together

Lucas is 2 months younger than Brynley and he belongs to Kent's sister Niki. Lucas and Brynley spend a lot of time together as Niki and I spent a lot of time together doing whatever we do LOL! Brynley LOVES Lucas...but she also LOVES to hurt Lucas whenever possible. Poor kid just takes it from her...one day I hope he stands up for himself and puts her in her place and then maybe she will be nicer to him...she doesn't treat anyone else this way...only Lucas! She has been getting quite a few "time outs" to say the least...but it doesn't seem to be helping the problem.

Lucas and Bryn playing in the kids play area at the Balzac mall together
(they both love this slide)

Mom and Dad's mission call...

My parents had patiently waited about 6 weeks to recieve their mission call. It was a LONG wait, but very worth it! They have been called to serve in Salt Lake City as the Translation Coordinators in the Translation Deptartment for 23 months.

We are beyond THRILLED for them! They enter the MTC on September 13 2010.

CONGRATS Dad and Mom!!!

XO We love you XO

The Stones move to Crossfield...

This is an older family picture of them, but it is all I had to put on here.

Well, they are all moved in and we are SO happy to have them in Crossfield! They had a lot of family help to help move them and unpack. They moved into their "new to them" house this past weekend. It has a great lay out, vaulted ceilings and PLENTY of space. We have been working hard this week taping, mudding, sanding and painting their main floor. We will get the last coat of paint on it tonight...YEAH!! Then Niki can finally decorate her new home and make it comfy and beautiful for them.

Also, Niki announced a couple of weeks ago that she is expecting their 2nd child...CONGRATS!!! Hard to believe Lucas is going to be a big brother. They have about 6 bedrooms in their new home so they have lot's of space to fill up with all their kids ha ha!

Welcome to Crossfield guys!!!

Utah trip

Our trip to down to Utah went really well and of course it went by WAY too fast! We left Thursday, April 1. Kent had some errands to do in Calgary for work before we could really get going. So we didn't get out of Calgary until around 11pm. By the time we got to Lethbridge we were ready to ditch the boys as already 2 hours into our trip they were fighting and not getting along. UGH!!! I called my parents (so the boys could hear and be worried they weren't going to be able to come if they didn't smarten up) once we got to Lethbridge and asked if the boys could stay with them and if they could come pick them up in Lethbridge as they weren't behaving. Tyson and Cole did a quick attitude change and made some promises to be better....and they were...ha ha, so it worked! Brynley did much better than we thought she would do. The boys tried to help out with her as much as possible. We made it all the way to Dillon Montana and stayed the night. It was only 4 hours away from Emily's...but we figured it was time to stop and then the kids could swim and get out some of there energy. I was so buys packing everyone and making sure they all didn't forget things that in the end I forgot my bathing suit. That ticked me off as I really was looking forward to swimming and relaxing. Oh well! The kids were happy to be out of the vehicle and swimming. Kent and Brynley also were in the pool and had a good time.

We left Dillon Montana in the morning and arrived to Emily's Friday afternoon. When we arrived Tyson had a fever. The poor kid has the worst time with his ears (he has had tubes put in his ears twice already). I figured from the elevation change it bothered his ear drums. So for 2 days we gave him Tylenol every 4 hours and then he was fine. You know he is sick when we went out to eat at the Golden Corral Buffet and he doesn't want to eat...poor guy! Yes eating out at the Golden Corral Buffet is one of our Utah fun rituals...the kids love it there and so do we =)

poor kid...he was so sick!

Emily and Brynley

My sister Emily is a WONDERFUL Mother, Sister and Aunt! She is always doing fun things with the kids and she is so creative.

Brynley really likes coloring and Emily got her all set up at the table to do it...Bryn thought life couldn't get better than that =)
Easter Morning...

We do the Easter baskets Saturday morning with the kids. This way Sunday is saved for what Easter is really about.

The Easter bunny came and left foot prints all over the place...up the stairs and to where all the kids were sleeping...and of course to where all of the Easter baskets got put. Brynley wasn't quite sure about the foot prints so she would step over them ha!

After that they got ready to go to the Plain City Easter candy hunt. They do it at one of there big parks. There is candy that has been scattered all over the grass in all different areas of the park. They even have them sectioned off in age groups to make it fair. It works out really great and the kids have fun doing it. Cole and Max didn't go as they are too old for it now. Tyson couldn't go as he was sick. It was also VERY cold out and so we weren't even going to take Bryn...but last minute we decided to take her. She thought it was great.

Priesthood Session...

Saturday, April 3 was the Priesthood session of Conference. This was Cole's first time going so we were excited for him. He wasn't too sure of it as it was going to be 2 hours long.

Kent, Cole, Maxwell and Mark

Easter morning...General Conference!

Here is everyone that was at Emily's house while we were watching conference. My brother in law Darren Cahoon and his son Wilson were there with us. They stopped on their way back home to Cardston.

Conference is always hard to fully watch and hear when you have little kids running around. You can only try to contain them for so long =) So we did our best and let's just say I can't wait for the Ensign to come out with all the talks in it so I can read them LOL!

Mom had sent Emily this neat hairdo book. So Elizabeth wanted Em to try one out on her while we were watching conference. It turned out so cute and Elizabeth really liked it.

We also had a really yummy Easter dinner that Emily and Mark made that we at after we watched Conference. It was all very yummy! And no pictures as I wasn't thinking DARN!!!

Movies...
We were able to see a couple of movies while we were there.

This was interesting and it was ok. A little scary in a couple of places I thought, but the kids like it. I didn't care about what movie we went to as all I wanted was the popcorn ha ha...I REALLY like movie theatre popcorn!

This was a cute and fun one. It had us all laughing throughout.

The Weather...

It was so shocking to us to be down in Utah and the weather as actually colder there than it was back home. It was blizzarding for about 2 1/2 days while we were there...they got a TON of snow dumped on them! We were ticked about that as it is usually so nice out and trees are blooming and what not...not this year though.

Miscellaneous fun...
Miss Brynley was in her glory at The Osenbach's. All 5 of my sisters kids were SO good to her. She got a TON of attention from each of them every day.

She loved playing the piano whenever Elizabeth was sitting and trying to do her practicing.

Max, Cole and Elizabeth all playing their portable hand held games. They were doing that for a while. We didn't care as long as everyone was getting along and happy. Max won a DSI in this game machine thing at a Chinese food resturant so he gave his sister Elizabeth his old one...EVERYONE was happy!!

Maxwell combing out Bryn's snarly mess

Ok, so Bryn has CRAZY hair. She has a calic right dead center of her forehead and then 2 in the back on her crown. And the very back part of her has is always a big fuzzy rats nest mess!!! Her hair is VERY thin and fine as it is still trying to grow in. Now just so we are clear I do brush her hair every morning and put cute hair things in it...but within minutes she has pulled them out and she looks like she is an orphan =)

My nephew Max (12) had a hard time looking at Bryn's hair when it got messy...it clearly bothered him as every now and then I would see him combing her hair. It made me laugh as it was so cute...but he would also say, "there that is much better." So in the end it was all good cause then Max was happy and Bryn didn't look like an orphan anymore ha ha!

Calvin (4) and Brynley (18 months old)

Calvin was so, so good with Brynley. He played with her A LOT! She was in her glory with all the attention she was getting from all these new to her people =) Calvin being the sweet boy that he is built her and him a bridge from the chair to the hide a bed. They played on this for quite a while and laughed and giggled away. So cute and so fun to watch them!

Calving rescuing Bryn as she was about to fall off the bridge LOL

Calvin and Brynley were so cute together. Brynley and him would walk around the house holding hands as Brynley would lead him around the house to wherever she wanted to go. They both had big smiles on their faces and he did whatever she wanted LOL!

Brynley trying to actually get inside the little car to ride it ha ha! She was so frustrated that she couldn't get in it and sit down.

Decorating Easter Eggs...

The kids had a great time decorating Easter Eggs. That is my cute nephew Calvin (4) in the middle picture...love him!!

This is Tyson and my 2 nephews Korhman (9) and Calvin (4) who all decided to take some of the Easter Eggs and hit them outside with a baseball bat. Nice hey!! Let's just say once I took a couple of pictures it all came to a stop LOL.

Sick...Kent and Brynley both got really sick while we were there (Ty was as well but he got better) before they got sick. We had a rough few nights with Brynley and it wasn't getting any better...and poor Kent couldn't breath and he was in pain as well. So we went to the Dr and they both had ear infections and Kent had a sinus cold as well. Once they got some medicine in them they were doing much better thank goodness =)

New words...

Brynely chasing around the poor "itty" (kitty).

While we were down in Utah Brynley stared saying all these new words out of nowhere.

itty (kitty)
baw (ball)
irdie (birdie)
ease (please)
Coy (Cole)
Ta (Tyson)
Oh-No
Oh dee (oh dear)
eay, et, GO! (ready, set, GO)

Brynley loved there bird and cat. She couldn't get enough of them and just wanted to touch them and hold them. Ok maybe not the bird but she would touch it =) She is a major animal lover like I was...not good as I brought home anything that crossed my path LOL!

Funny story...
so as a family we really enjoy watching the series Little House on the Prairie. Kent bought me the set for Christmas and we ALL really enjoy watching it together....even Brynley likes it.

Kent had mentioned to me that Brynley hadn't called him Dad (Da) for a while and it bothered him and we couldn't figure out why she wouldn't say it anymore. One day Kent had left the our bedroom and Bryn got upset and said, "Pa" and looked at me like where did he go. I thought she was wanting to go look at pictures in the kitchen of Kent's Dad Russ whom we call Papa. So I picked her up and we went and looked at the pictures and I pointed to Russ and said, "there he is, there is Papa" Brynley smiled and that was that. I took her back into our bedroom and Kent came back in and Brynley started clapping her hands saying "Pa". I realized she was referring to Kent as "Pa" and the past few days she had been calling me "Ma"...so I chalked it up to her watching too much Little House on the Prairie as that is what the kids on that show call their parents Ma and Pa. We had a good laugh once we figured it out. Kent wasn't sure he liked her calling him Pa, but he is used to it now and it makes us laugh.

Ring around the Rosy...

Brynley LOVES playing Ring around the Rosy. So anytime she could she would grab the boys and do this in the kitchen over and over and over. They were such good sports about it as she wanted to do it ALL the time. And she would even go grab their hands while they were busy doing something and walk them up to the kitchen to do it...and they would smile and say "oh no, not this again!" And then they would just do it anyways.

Nickelcade...is a fun place the men take the kids. It is a place where there are lot's of different types of games that are all only a nickel each. At the end they hand in there tokens they one from whatever games they played and they get to pick whatever prizes they are wanting.

While the men take the kids there Emily and I go shopping...NO KIDS!!! It was great and went by way too quickly. Shopping in Utah is so much more fun I think. Emily and I had a good visit while we were eating lunch and we were able to find some good deals. The store Ross is always a good place to shop at...it is like our Winners, but even better deals than Winners. I really enjoy when Emily and I get to go out and spend time togther since we only get to see each other once a year. We always have a good time!

Home...
We left Utah on Friday, April 9. We pulled our brother in laws tent trailer back with us to Cardston that he had purchased while in Utah. He had no way to pull it home and was going to come back and get it. We had a truck that could pull it so Kent offered to take it up for him.

On the way home we stopped in at The Shilou Inn in Helena Montana and stayed the night. We even got the boys there own connecting room to ours so they thought that was AWESOME! And so did we as then we had more space and we weren't tripping over each other. They went swimming and had a good time.

Thanks again to the Osenbach Family for a wonderful time! We love you guys and miss you already.
